Four Things I Like About the New CCF Website

The new church website is here.  After months of discussion and development, the new site launched last week.  The site has a fresh look with powerful features underneath.  I’d like to point out some of the new features that I think will be especially important for users.

Sermons Online – I’m really proud of this feature.  You can now go to the home page and listen to the latest sermon with one click.  Sure you can still download the message, but for some it is just easiest to listen from your computer.  Also, you will see a complete library of all recent messages and the graphic interface is just cool (ccfedmonds.org/media/sermon).  For those that like podcasts, they are on their way!

Events – The website has really beefed up for events.  You will now find every church event on the site (ccfedmonds.org/events).  But what you can do with them is even more cool.  You can now sort events by date, title, or ministry.  For instance, you can see all the children’s events by using a one click sort.  Powerful.

Volunteer Options – This is a part of the website that we will grow into.  We now have the ability to place volunteer opportunities on the web (ccfedmonds.org/volunteers).  We are trying to make it easier than ever to plug into opportunities to serve Jesus by building the Body and touching the community.  Over time this will become a clearinghouse for volunteer positions.

Church Guests – We have learned that a large percentage of people visit our website before coming to us on Sunday.  As a result, we have made the I’m New button and information very prominent.  We seek to help people easily get all the information they want about us before even stepping into our facilities or into one of our events.

That’s four things that are new with our website.  Of course, there is a lot more.  Take a little spin.  I think you will like what you find.
